Now to figure out how to get them wired through the firewall. Grommets are overrated so Minis have rubber plugs instead. Whoever came up with that idea should be fired.

I wanna do that when I get a Clubman S.

Hella cool! LOVE rally lights on a Mini. You’re going to have your mind blown at the difference it makes driving at night. Here’s a pic of my old car with the optional driving lights:

Looks like a double firewall.

The rubber plugs are the grommets. They’re there to prevent stuff (emissions, heat... fire) from going from the engine bay to the vehicle interior.

Pull a grommet, slit the side, put in the wires and replace.
Or do the clothesline trick and push through the grommet, tape on the wires, and pull it back through..

Make a small incision in one of the rubber plugs, tape the wires to a length of clothes hanger, push it through, pull it out the other side, connect it, tuck the wires, and then seal the plug.

Exactly what we ended up doing. Just finished buttoning it up about 10 mins ago.

I have been in cars with proper stage rally lights which these have nothing on. They do look great and provide a noticeable improvement though.

Minis just look so right with driving lights on them.

Right? I just need to get rid of my Miata and I can join the Mini world.
